In Los Conserjes, I scanned in a section of carpet on a layer that completely covered the black and white images.  I used Photoshop to erase away sections of carpet and reveal the workers.  Cleaning staff and laundry workers are hardly noticed by the guests in the big hotels where they work;  laughter and talk are not permitted.  Each person works silently and unobtrusively, melding into the fixtures of the hotel corridors.
